summer events & programs assistant

Gibsons Public Market is looking for an enthusiastic and organized Summer Events & Programs Assistant to join our team at Gibsons Public Market! This seasonal role supports the planning and delivery of our vibrant summer programming, including markets, festivals, and community events.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in event coordination, work closely with local vendors and community partners, and help create welcoming, memorable experiences for visitors. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, is a strong communicator, and is passionate about community engagement.

Occasional evening and weekend availability is required.

Our first contact with the Market was a tour offered by Georgy Good when the Market was nearing completion. We were impressed by the vision of the market as a community hub and a gathering place which could host a variety of activities.

We were lucky enough to have our wedding reception at the Gibsons Public Market. The space is absolutely stunning with vaulted ceilings, big windows, and a large glowing fish tank. Our photos are exceptional! The staff are kind, attentive and keen to make every detail perfect for a flawless wedding. We couldn’t have dreamed of a better venue for our wedding.
