Looking for a fun, unique and creative camp experience this summer? Join us for MARKET CAMP! An immersive, summer camp experience featuring all the wonderful things the Gibsons Public Market at Lower Gibsons has to offer! 

We are packing a lot of fun into our 3-day camp. Each day will start with a cooking class and meal with Chefs on the Coast, followed by a variety of daily activities – art workshops, outdoor exploration, music, museum and aquarium visits. Three fun filled days each week, exploring and discovering nature on our local trails, beaches and parks, creating art, and learning about the history of our unique town.r

CAMP A
ARTFUL, APPETITES & ADVENTURES

Dates Available: July 2-4, July 16-18, July 30-Aug 1, Aug 13-15, and Aug 27-29
Length: 3 Days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Time: 9am – 3 pm

Age: Entering Grades 3-5 (approx age 8-10)
Cost: $249

In Artful, Appetites, and Adventures, kids will:

  • Indulge in 3 Cooking Classes with Chefs On The Coast.
  • Enjoy a visit to TidePools Aquarium
  • Learn the Art of Silk Screening with Professional Artist Hazel Bell-Koski
  • Be part of creating a collaborative mobile  to be displayed publicly 
  • Make your own Mandela rock with paint and Posca Pens.
  • Head outside to explore local forests, beaches, and parks in lower Gibsons, play games and have fun!
  • Make music magic! Learn to play a tune on a musical instrument

     

CAMP B
BRUSHSTROKES, BITES & BEYOND

Dates Available: July 9-11, July 23-25, Aug 6-8, Aug 20-22
Length: 3 Days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Time: 9am – 3 pm

Age: Entering Grades 3-5 (approx age 8-10)
Cost: $249

In Brushstrokes, Bites, and Beyond, kids will:

  • Engage in 3 Cooking Classes with Chefs On The Coast                       (different than camp A)
  • Visit Sunshine Coast Museum & Archives to examine local history through a hands-on scavenger hunt!
  • Explore TidePools Aquarium 
  • Venture out to explore the diverse pacific rainforest and beaches.
  • Collaborate on a giant mosaic on cloth to be displayed publicly with acrylic paint and Posca pens.
  • Conduct cool slime experiments with different textures and ingredients.
  • Visit Gibsons Public Art Gallery and create beautiful, natural art cards with locally foraged fauna.
