ITEM 5: 3-Night Stay at Luxury Eco-Chic Beach Villa in Thailand

Escape to Koh Jum Beach Villas, a hidden sanctuary set amidst tropical gardens and pristine beach, located on Koh Jum, an island in Krabi province. Indulge in ultimate privacy and authentic Asian hospitality in a bespoke 1-bedroom villa, with sunset views over Phi Phi National Marine Park. Koh Jum Beach Villas origin story: Ken found himself on Koh Jum after being in Rilay beach during the tsunami. He set up a foundation that helped raise money to replace the many longtail boats that the fishing and tourism industries lost. During his visiting of several communities he eventually fell in love with the small island of Koh Jum. It was his intention to build one house for himself, however finding a small plot of legal land to purchase was not easy. Ultimately he ended up acquiring approximately 16acres, with 700m of beach front. At present there are 27 villas ranging from one bed to five beds, all low density, set in beautifully naturally landscaped gardens. The development of the resort has been over 20 years, slowly building with particular attention being paid to maintaining and strengthening the environment, working with the local communities and fostering a deep to connection the land and people.

Our first contact with the Market was a tour offered by Georgy Good when the Market was nearing completion. We were impressed by the vision of the market as a community hub and a gathering place which could host a variety of activities.
